A book illustrator, Soosh, talks about her fairytale illustrations.

When I was searching for Soosh to begin this article properly, I stumbled upon her YouTube videos. If you've ever seen her work, you'll notice that it's like the fairytale of dreams was revived. With her voice as a part of stories, she can make it a full-rounded magical experience bringing her fairytale characters to life. Keep reading but make sure you check out the YouTube channel and sip a cup of hot tea, and get ready for a pretty special fairytale night.

We asked Soosh about her secret for capturing those small moments of everyday life in her work.

"Hello, I'm Soosh. I was raised and born by people. I identify myself with no religious, ethnic, or national background or other. I spend my time watching people and myself as I delve into the specifics of every aspect. It's a tricky path, I didn't choose it intentionally however, I'm doing the path. In terms of traditional art education I don't have any.

Though I'm aware there are different ways of painting and drawing are referred to as styles, I've never really given much thought as to what kind that my drawing could qualify as. If I were for the right words for it, it would be an "fairytale realist" style. But speaking frankly, no style.

I think the key to success, according to me, is to see through your heart as you do with your eyes. It might take some repetition to notice the small aspects, as with every other ability. You need to become quiet for some time and remain present for your present. Pay attention. Observe closely, without haste.

My primary interest has been always individuals. Their expressions on their faces and mimicry of their actions, their gestures kind acts, as well as their weaknesses - all of it's fascinating and interesting for me. After that, it's the matter of two pencils as well as a watercolour pen to dig into and create those daily pictures printed on paper."
