A watercolorist The CreativeMindClass Blog
"You'll often hear me chant variants of this phrase when I instruct: we go from big to small -meaning bigger brush to small brush, loose to tight as well as dark to light. It's key to begin with joy and excitement, following a loose plan but allowing the piece to speak directly to you in the direction it wants you to go."
Tips for painting with watercolor:
- Go from big to a tiny brush
- Move between tight and loose moves
- Change from the light colors to the dark ones.

My personal background
"I was that shy girl who sat at the middle of the class, with her eyes buried in a sketchbook. There hasn't been much change since. In the beginning, I was experiencing a creative burnout, but being a mother brought me back to watercolor painting. I rediscovered myself in a way of combining art with religious practice. I created "Watercolor Devo's." These works spurred me into being a creative educator and full time artist."

How would you describe your style of watercolor?
"I am unable to resist the bright, playful or pink. An element of old-fashioned quirk or tension visuals are often my primary focus when working. However, most importantly I love bringing the best of watercolor to the paper, letting it flow in vivid bleeds of bold hues."
