In the past, you could provide a trial for free to prospective members (with or without credit card requirement) This would convert to the cost of membership following a specified number of days. This is still available for those who want to use it, but we've upgraded this feature and also given our customers the option of charging for the trial period.
Paying trials offer participants the chance to feel what it's like to be a member in your community before committing and making the full financial commitment. In removing costs as the reason to decline it lowers a prospective member's barrier to entry. People are able to join a paid membership for a period of time as well as 'try before you decide to buy.'
Setting up a paid trial is as easy as one click.
On your Dashboard Paying trials appear like an extension of the free trial feature. You can now set a price for the duration of your trial, which then converts to the total plan cost when the trial expires.
