Collage collages with minimal design - CreativeMindClass Blog
On Sunday afternoon I accidentally discovered Olga sharing Instagram posts about my childhood neighborhood. In the middle of Warsaw's concrete jungle is an undiscovered, revered green zone. I used to go there during the summer months to gaze at the beautiful pine trees and take a breath of the natural world within my urban lung. In her story, Olga visited this area for the first time but she was also fascinated by one of the oldest backyards of Warsaw. It is my bet she will create a Boernerowo inspired painting.

We asked Olga about the key to creating her minimalist collages and artworks of human-like landscapes.
"My name is Olga Szczechowska, and I'm living in Warsaw. Since the age of a child, I've always drawn and painted numerous times. I was a student at an art high school and took classes in Drawing and Cultural Studies at the University of Nicolaus Copernicus in Torun.

I'm an illustrator, painter, and sometimes graphic designer. My work is a examine the interplay between humans and nature, paying close attention to how we influence the natural world around us. By looking at trimmed hedges, decorative plants, and carefully designed gardens for homes, I am capturing the strange nature of our immediate surroundings."

"For several years I have also been creating minimalist collages. These collages were drawn from landscapes, still lifeor made as the result of experimentation with forms, textures, and colours.

My style is heterogeneous since collage and painting differ in many ways, however they share one thing in common: they are soothing. I've heard the term "soothing" from my audience many times, and I think that it is an accurate description of the essence of my art. If I am tired of drawing, I do collages and vice versa. One style is a temporary getaway from the different.

It is my opinion that observation is the most important thing. I carefully observe everything that surrounds me, architectural structures, nature, as well as objects. The result is my work. My artworks do not see a human , however, we are able to feel the human beings in hedges or in a cup that is left at the end of the dining table."
