Colored Pencil Flower - The CreativeMindClass Blog
If I could pick just one term that represented my style of drawing that word would be "Spring'.
I'd like for people to view my drawings and feel the way they're blossoming like a warm spring of blooming flowers.

Cottagecore is the lifestyle I prefer and cherish. It could be because I reside in Seoul, a big city which is why I appreciate nature and the countryside far more than the sights I take in every day.
Instead of expressing a sense of ferocity rather, I try to convey a serene and tranquil mood, similar to what I see in nature.

What is the key for creating illustrations?
First, I'd like to discuss the things that I take motivation in. I focus on happiness in small items. Flowers I see in a flower garden, the whispers of flowers fluttering when the wind blows or even a tiny flower at the corner of the street that I walk by when walking.
My work is mostly inspired by tiny wildflowers. Nature-inspired landscapes taken from ancient botanical encyclopedias, and landscapes from rural areas can also be a source of inspiration. I save a lot of material through photos and often take notes about color pencil ideas.

Secondly, let's talk about how I work. I create drawings to the level of large-scale details like actual flowers. I also express my feelings through color.
I employ sharp colored pencils that precisely depict the form of the bloom. It is then set with a gentle and warm atmosphere by using pastel tones rather than intense colors.

It is also my preference to put plain and textured paper together with the flower method of paper to create the appearance of flowers in bloom.
In contrast to drawing simply instead, I believe that creating papers with flowers can create a more beautiful atmosphere. This is a closer translation of my imagination.

My name's Yeo Jin. I'm a colored pencil artist illustrator and author located in Seoul. My work is based on flowers since they provide me with joy!
So far, I've published six colored pencil tutorial books. I also have collaborated with companies to create illustrations. I'm currently teaching aspiring drawing artists and I make products can be sold in stores online and in local shops.
You can find my colored pencil artwork in Instagram and on my website.
I'd like to introduce my YouTube channel. My vlogs focus on travel however they also include many inspirations and travel drawings (mostly drawn with colored pencils) that I do through my adventures.
