 If I could pick just one word to represent my drawing style I would choose 'Spring'.

I want people to see my drawings and feel they are blooming themselves, like a warm spring of blossoming flowers.

Cottagecore is the life style I have chosen and believe in. The reason might be that I reside in Seoul, a big city, so I admire nature and the countryside more than what my eyes see every day.

Instead of expressing a sense of ferocity rather, I try to convey a serene and peaceful mood like what I observe in nature.

 What is the key in creating your illustration?

The first thing I'd like is to discuss my favorite things I find inspiring in. I focus on happiness from the smallest objects. The blooms I find in the garden, the whispers of flowers that flutter when wind blows or even a tiny bloom at the end of the street that I walk by while walking.

I am primarily with small wildflowers. Nature-inspired landscapes taken from ancient botanical encyclopedias and rural landscapes are also a source of inspiration. I keep a large amount of information through images and usually take notes of colored pencil art ideas.

Let's discuss how I work. I create drawings to the level of intricate details, like real flowers and I convey my emotions through color.

I make use of sharp colored pencils that precisely express the shape of the bloom. Then I create a relaxing and warm mood by making use of pastel tones instead of strong hues.

It is also my preference to put plain and textured paper together using the paper flower technique for creating the impression of flowers blooming.

Instead of drawing just for fun instead, I believe that creating paper flowers creates a much more beautiful atmosphere. This is a closer translation of what I have in my head.

My name is Yeo Jin. I'm an artist with a colored pencil. author and illustrator located in Seoul. My artwork is based around flowers since they provide me with joy!

My publications include six color pencil-related tutorials. I've also worked with various brands to illustrate. I'm currently teaching aspiring drawing artists and I make products are sold on the internet as well as in local stores.
