Fantasy illustration - The CreativeMindClass Blog
How would you describe your style?
It's somewhere between stylized and realistic illustration. I tend to use aqua and muted color palettes and generally work with organicand flowing forms. I believe that my "style" as a fantasy illustration artist is heavily dictated by my colors and the subject matter I choose to draw, and not necessarily what it's painted. I was previously working using a much more straight-line style but I've recently been transitioning into a looser and more painterly style.

What's the secret for creating drawings of fantasy art?
I'm constantly re-examining them until the image is closest to how I see the image in my mind (within the reason that I don't want to devote months to a single painting). I try really hard to challenge my ideas and not settle for an unsatisfactory image. I'd rather spend a lot of time to get the perfect fantasy image instead of rushing through it.

How can viewers see your fantasies?
I'll be participating in the forthcoming "Oceans and Currents" exhibit on display at Gallery Nucleus during July! While you wait, you can find me via Instagram. I do sell prints on my store online Bandcamp for those who are in the market!
Also, I have a Youtube and Bandcamp to those who are interested in my music and I'll be releasing new songs soon.

Brigitte's Background
I earned my diploma in my school, the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, and I am currently employed in the entertainment art industry as an illustrator and concept artist. I also have an ongoing creative project named Pearl Farm in which I make drawings. I also write as well as perform original songs.
Illustrations for the article are taken of my own project Pearl Farm. This is my story that I wrote that follows a travel troubadour known as Vinny as well as her pet ray Hubble as they make their way across the planet called"the Lofty Coastline.
