is all about pursuing chances to transform your career path
Prior to moving to London in the year 2017 I lived in a town of a few hundred inhabitants in Germany and worked for a while as an After Effects animator. There weren't many chances to express my creativity and my talents slowed rapidly and I became completely unhappy.
The move from London and getting to know all the amazing animation folks in the area was a huge boost for me. I thought "Damn I'm here, with awesome kids . Now is the time to start my game on."
Following my visit to the 2019 Pictoplasma exhibit, I took my first step into the fascinating world of artists of characters. My decision was taken quickly that my characters function best when they're 3D which is something I've been learning through experiences, which can be difficult but very rewarding!
My work was noticed by the folks from Greenhouse Animation, which is why I'm now an animator for Greenhouse Animation.

HTML0, the X-Files project, and the mystery surrounding socks disappearing
One of the first client projects I worked on with my brand new look is the Covered by Lemonade clip.

Lemonade Insurance approached me to design a piece to accompany their ongoing Instagram collaboration with artists. Because the business is a content insurance company, it is a household items that are getting into trouble immediately was a thought. That's how the X-Files concept came to life.
I was caught in winter lockdown, watching the"x-files. Thus, the notion of abductions by aliens that were of the traditional kind was logical. The only thing is that all characters have to be at the same location to be at the exact spot to close the loop of animation to guarantee that no one is actually taken. At this point when I came up with the idea of making an explosion with washing machine, with only pink sock that is flying toward the UFO.
While I was making an UFO and giving it a couple of legs, it occurred to me that the whole thing could be set up. The UFO has lost its shoes, and attempts to locate them!
For me, crafting a memorable story is best accomplished by mixing different items that might seem strange at first. My favorite thing is making things occur that are completely unexpected and giving inanimate objects personality through making funny faces of them is most enjoyable for me!

The animation workflow
My process of work begins by drawing my characters as well as the creation of an outline of the plot. I changed the animatic in Lemonade in order to express the theme and also the timing. Then, I switch into Cinema 4D and model all my characters. In addition, it is the perfect time to check my materials and also create style frames.
When the animation created is completed with Cinema 4D is done, I transfer it to After Effects for compositing and the final touches. The pink light beam as an example, it can be made by making use the power of After Effects.

In terms of sound effects, in addition to ways to work with Philip Brookes
My first time working with sound engineer Philip Brookes He was a master at his job! His work elevates the quality of video to a completely higher level and connects the entire thing perfectly! This was an incredible project to finish and I'm looking forward to continue to work on such a project!
We've had a conversation with Phil concerning his methods of creating sounds that can be used for The X-Files project. Watch the interview of Phil Brookes.

Presently, I'm learning how to make rigs for characters, as well as creating stunning textures with Cinema 4D and Redshift. I'm exploring the mix of 2D animation using 3D and am excited to see where my characters design journey takes me next!
