Rio Vera-Newton has provided advice on skin care in her writings for a long time. "The makeup and beauty industry especially the one that deals with skincare and beauty, is very crowded and difficult for people with no any experience in this area to discern," she says. "I loved every moment of helping other people learn about cosmetics, and finding out the things they can understand."

In 2017, a dramatic news event that quickly became viral caught the attention of many more than ever before. Rio disclosed the specifics of her routine to treat her skin after acne appeared on her face. After that, she shared it with her family, friends and relatives until she was featured on the page of New York Magazine. Since then, Rio has gone to an esthetician's institute and has established her own company as a consultant for skin care. She has also published her own book about the subject.

From the viral component to the business strategy

Rio's makeup routine which made her famous was one of the reasons. From the time she first saw glance to the last the experience was exhausting and stressful time.

"When I completed studying at the college of estheticians, I learned that I wanted to start a company that was more personal and private" Rio says. "I was terrified and I'm certain that numerous other people are feeling exactly like this at the beginning of a project."

"When I first began my task, it was only at the beginning, and I was keen to make sure that I had organized my consultation in the most efficient manner possible. This is why I started by offering twenty consultations for free to friends prior to beginning and requesting my friends to provide me with any feedback they have," she adds. "Because I was equipped with the knowledge needed I had the capability to tackle any obstacle when I began to gain my first customers. This was significant since it meant that when I launched my business I was able to learn a great deal and establish my company with no anxiety."
