In the the January, Nia Pettitt officially opened doors to Curl Bar. Curl Bar is the hair salon for curls situated in London. Nia's vision for the salon wasn't just about creating a beautiful space for customers, but she also wanted each client to feel valued and respected.
The brick-and-mortar enterprise can be taken to the next step
Establishing hair salons that cater to curly locks has been an ambition for Nia's. "I often traveled across America to have my hair cuts as it was not easy to locate a salon located within London or in Britain," she says. UK," she says. "I determined to design the experience to be comfortable, calming, and also reflect the kind of experience I would have liked when I was a small girl." Customers were overwhelmingly in favor of her vision. After the book's launch at the Curl Bar The Curl Bar, the appointments quickly filled up.
"Your lifestyle changes when you set out to start your own business. Make sure you change your ways," Nia advises aspiring entrepreneurs. Nobody could have anticipated the extent of changes that are in store for Nia along with the Curl Bar. Just two months after the bar's opening it was shut temporarily because of COVID-19 shut-downs in the UK. But even an indefinite suspension of business did not hinder Nia's development.
"I had no plan to expand the company or even in the epidemic," she says. "I take every morning as an opportunity for me to grow beyond." When The Curl Bar was closed, Nia shifted her focus on social mediaand interacting with stylists as well as those she follows through social media until the salon could return to business.
