"Passive" means "passed." Making Online courses requires active involvement.
In the majority of service-based companies, passive and leveraged income-generating products are a gorgeous concept, however there's an array of psychological and mental problems that could arise from entering this field. There's a misguided belief that it's the only kind of income. You can make money in your sleep and get to the beach. You're right, but there's no need to sell it to me.
However, what if you truly consider the clients that are buying your product? If, for instance, you didn't WANT to go off to the beach, however, you'd rather to remain in the area, hold hands, ask questions and truly support your clients through the program?
Does that make you a bad professional?
Do you think that this means that you're onlyleveraging however you're not creating a true passive income so you've failed?
Absolutely NOT AT ALL.
I'm here to tell you: Leveraged is the new black.
Besides, passive income is soooo this year.
The most successful online course creators stay connected to their customers
Gorgeous, heart-centered entrepreneurs are out there creating BRILLIANT leveraged programmes, while remaining connected to their community which is loving their work for it.
In a world where your potential clients have ALREADY joined dozens of online programs and have never completed the program, a new self-study course will be merely an empty sound.
In a world where people have a pity on being pushed through automated channels, lead generators and generally forced to leap through hoops in order to determine how much money you want and then how much you can pay this to you the online buyer is pushing against. Saying no. Delaying the decision until they have the opportunity to collaborate together one-onone or as part of an intensive group which requires a lot of face-to-face time.
For connected course creators This is GREAT news.
Personally, I do not think it's in my DNA to create true passive income. My first ever real passive income product was a yearly planner for entrepreneurs and was just $19.98. The first time I launched it I was able to sell 170 copies. It was absolutely gorgeous. I then proceeded to start communicating with customers who purchased it to check if that they had filled it out and to see whether they were satisfied with it as well as to give tips on how to keep it alive all year long.
It is not an investment product with a passive income. Actually, I was chastising those who purchased it, to learn what they thought about it and then aid them with their use!
One year later, I launched the Heart and Soul planner again in late the year of 2015. The second time around, the planner included two group sessions that were live one in which I led people through the pages by page, answering questions and providing ideas, and the second workshop where I helped individuals develop their own implementation strategy so that the planner doesn't turn into a dust-catcher.
By turning my passive product into a leveraged one I found several advantages for both buyer and seller alike:
- I felt more CONNECTED to the people who purchased, and was able to assure that the customers were receiving great value - felt good for me, and good for them.
- I created a TRIBE - We were on the live chat together. participants were interacting with one others, cheering one another on and providing suggestions and ideas. The focus was not on divide and conquer - instead, the goal was to unify and make connections.
- People became familiar with me - and therefore, my KLT (know and trust) score skyrocketed.
- The conversion to higher-end products was phenomenal - out of the 256 women who purchased this time, around, three of them are now VIP clients fourteen have joined one of my programs, and at least 20 people have enrolled in my business academy only in six short months. The process of conversion will keep happening throughout the year I believe.
If you're brainstorming ideas for the next course, program or product, think about giving thought to designing something that's more energised, as well as less passive. It's possible that you'll need to show up to work a bit more consistently.
However that you may discover that you enjoy the idea.
