It's a good thing that Strive provides two great options to make life easier and provide seamless management. Let's explore how we leverage these tools:

New Drafts

Located on the right on the right Content Calendar page, the " Add New Draft" is your launchpad for the next blog you want to write.

When clicked, it opens an open-ended window in which it is easy to input the essential details required for posting.

We make use of the Title field to identify who is the designated writer, by adding their name in the title of the article.

Strive's vivid color scheme not only adds visual appeal but also serves as an effective tool for our blog post process.

Each color is a particular step in the process that allows us to efficiently explain the next steps and the responsible people. Here's how we utilize the colors we use:

  1. Not Started (Red): When I make a New Draft the system automatically takes the status of not started and displays a vibrant red color. This informs the designated author that the blog post is ready to be completed.
  2. Writing (Orange): Once the writer has begun working on the draft, they transition the post status to Writing. This is and are accompanied by a striking orange shade. The color change signals that the posting is currently in process.
  3. Editing (Yellow): When the draft is completed and ready for review, the writer changes the post's status to Editing, represented by a bright yellow hue. This informs me that the article requires my attention for further review as well as revisions.
  4. Final (Green): After I have completed the editing and decide that the article is now ready for publication, I switch the status to complete. The box for the post immediately transforms into a reassuring green color.

Transcribing each WordPress article into Asana is a time-consuming and tedious job. We are fortunate that our amazing Dev Team devised an ingenious solution by using Zapier.

With a customized Zap, triggered whenever the creation of a new draft occurs using WordPress, the draft seamlessly moves into our Asana calendar of content, specifically the "New Blogs" section I set up.

The Zap automatically assigns the corresponding job to me, and ensures that I get an email confirming the presence of the draft. Once I've received the alert, I can navigate to Asana and drag the post into the appropriate topic section.

This is a huge success improving our workflow, and removing the need for duplicate work.
