Continuing to improve the new product editor

In terms of product add-ons: With the latest release, you can now create custom add-onsmanually make orders using custom options -- as well as modify add-ons on existing orders and choose alternatives when items are out of stock. Additionally, we've made it easier to provide future analytics capabilities by adjusting the method of saving data.

Cart and Checkout blocks get smaller and more user-friendly.

Performance-wise, we streamlined how JavaScript is built for both the Cart and Checkout blocks. This results in significantly smaller data charges per page. The Cart block is reduced by decrease of 11%, and Checkout saves 17.9% -- bringing your site up to speed with each stage.

Other checkout options have graduated from beta release to an official feature. These new fields are user-friendly and give an additional way to gather details about the customer or their order.

Visual updates include a fresh overview of your order (with sticky functions on desktops), clearer display of local pickup options as well as improved design of address forms and changes to check-out steps. Also, we made improvements to accessibility to provide a better shopping experience for all.

WooPay adds even more speed and convenience

After shoppers hit "Proceed to pay" they're now taken directly to the fast, secure (and already 2.5x higher-converting!) WooPay payment page. This isn't all. We've made performance enhancements under the hood, so WooPay will load faster than before.

It's also easier to WooPay customers to locate and make use of their preferred payment options. The brand new "Alternative payment methods" button on the Pay With section sends shoppers right to your checkout page -- with all of their checkout information pre-filled with information provided by WooPay. Reduce time spent by your customers and provide a significant efficiency boost for your checkout process.

Another brand-friendly change one is The WooPay The Light as well as the Outline button designs have been updated with a white neutral background to better match with store brand colors.

Improved understanding and views for the Order Attribution

This year we launched the Order Attribution view that displays the origin of your orders to help you make informed decisions about your time and money. In 8.9, we added an Attribution column to the Orders table and Orders report, giving you many more options to gain access and make use of your information.
