What feedback can you give that increases the connection How to give feedback that increases the connection
I'll be honest I've struggled for a long time with giving effective, candid feedback to my team.
I value connection a lot however I was unsure of how to tell people that the performance of their company wasn't as good as I required to see it.
Instead, I'd attempt to modify myself to create anger.
At some time, I'd realized I'd was fed up, and would inform them.
To do it, my mind would cause them to be wrong and I'd then disconnect, which made the whole process even more painful and difficult for both of us.
The story rarely went well.
Since then, I've learned how I can accomplish that more effectively.
It's partly inner healing work as well as an external method.
Before I even have a discussion, I make a connection from my heart to theirs, and I speak directly from my soul to theirs. "I am in love with you. You're a great guy. I want the best for us both. greatest interests. This is the thing I'm worried about."
I am also seeking help from an enlightened source to conduct this discussion with a purpose that can uplift both of us.
The inner dialogue I have can help me ground my conversation in connection and love.
On the other hand, Seal Team Leaders have provided me with a framework which is as follows:
- Get their permission: "are you open to receiving my comments?"
- Then, write down the information: "Here's what I noticed you doing"
- Share your interpretation "The story I make up about that is"
- Ask for their input: "Is that true? Do you really mean to do that?"
- Ask for what you need: "Here's my request from you." It should be clear and precise.
- Ask for commitment: "Can you commit to this?" It might be a non. In this case, inquire what they would be a affirmative answer to.
- Thank them: "Thanks for hearing my comments. I truly appreciate it."
Simple & clear, and helps to strengthen the bond.
It is crucial to be particular, as well as owning the story you made up as a story that might not be true.
Test it, and tell me how it goes for you.
Love,-
